Grand narratives are important when swaying the court of public opinion. There needs to be a single grand unifying narrative tying everything together if there is to be any hope of stopping Trump from becoming President. Right now, the public is being bombarded with scattered facts by the mainstream media & can’t be bothered to connect the dots between them all.
The media is reporting that Russia interfered with the election without any background context, such as the fact that there are ongoing sanctions on Russia since the Crimea invasion and it has sank Russia into an ongoing recession. On top of that, the US was on the path to bankrupt Russia’s economy by cutting off its oil profits — Russia’s primary source of revenue. Why Putin fears Hillary Clinton We know that Trump has 250 businesses incorporated in Russia An Investigation Just Found Trump Has Hundreds Of Businesses In Russia If Russia’s economy goes bankrupt, then so does Trump’s businesses, and Trump by extension. It has been speculated that Trump owes debt to Russian bankers because no American bank will lend to him. That’s why he wont release his tax returns. These facts are the background as to why Trump ran for president, why he has so many Russian connections on his campaign, and why Russia would interfere in our election. Trump ran for President to save Russia and thus his own financial interests from America’s attack on Russia’s economy. Yet none of the reporting in the media or anywhere has connected all these dots into one Grand Narrative. Absent background context , people will chase any distraction or justification for these loosely scattered facts. Somebody with high visibility needs to do it, stat.
